New title – 0utburst
So… I've changed the title and programme note for the violin and piano piece being done in St Andrews next week.
It's now called '0utburst' instead of 'p01ntless'. Which is much better – why would someone want to play or listen to a piece of music that the composer thought was pointless!
Also changed the programme note to just two sentences, instead of the reams of nonsense I wrote before. It just says:
I wrote this piece on a day I was feeling really down.
I feel better now.
Baichuan and Inês have just run the piece through for me: their performance was perfect, they are superb musicians. Just for once, I'm genuinely 'really looking forward' to the performance of a new piece!
